They like 'em, they really really like 'em!

I think they like their new blankets that my sister made them. She did some good work, and I did a good job supervising! Oh - and they even got matching pillows! Oh and 1 more thing - for any of you who have been eyeing that super cool fisher price papasan chair for babies like me - walmart.com has it on sale for $29.88 + shipping. That's $20 off normal price! Just an FYI for ya.

Updater do.

Well I had my 33 1/2 week doctor appt this morning. I really need to remember to NOT wear the docs when we go in there. I am huge, actually no I am FAT! That scale is some seriously scary stuff. I didn't weigh this much with B and I was humungus! Ok, I am at the weight I was about then, but still hude, gigantic, and absolutely mammoth. Although this time I did gain about 7 lbs in each boob which I did not experience with the boys. So I can still have that snickers later. She is measuring right on target (33.5) and is head down. Can you believe it? I don't remember when the boys turned but this one seems to be doing quite well and ahead of schedule in that regard. Now, if we can convince her to arrive in a timely manner, unlike her brothers who were forced out at 42 weeks, we will be sitting pretty gosh darn good. I need to get my behind moving on my scrapbooks before she arrives. I want to be caught up (haha - that is 8 years worth) to a point that it isn't so overwhelming and I can stay on top of hers when she arrives. This is something that seriously needs some work, but hopefully we can do it. Maybe when B goes back to school next week (THANK GOODNESS!) I can get something like that done around here. That should probably come after her nursery is finished huh? That's about all I have. Hung out with good sis this weekend. She made both of the boys a blanket, was only supposed to be for A but she had extra fabric left over. She did well for her first attempt. I tried to help but I am not even close to being Marth@ $tewart. I am very undomesticated. Oh and we made invites for the shower. THey are just precious! I will post pictues of them and the blankets sometime later. Today starts our fall of hell. Soccer practice starts tonight and B won't even make it. Football pictures and then the next time he has a game. Ugh I can't wait till things go back to normal around here!!

And again....

Well Mr. J o h n K e r r y was in town like 1 mile away from my house today. And man did I see our tax dollars go to waste. At EVERY BRIdgE ON EVERY SIDE (That would be 4 per bridge) there was a cop. On like 7 bridges. This was all while he was inside talking. Now nothing against him maybe they do that for everyone but my goodness do ya really need to watch traffic 10 miles away? While he is INSIDE? This is suburbia people, nothing is out here except a highway & Kmart. That is it. Anyway - It was pretty funny listening to my 8 yr old while this whole thing was going on. As we passed the protesters he was yelling "Kerry Sucks" "He's an idiot" "Bush rocks" "Yeah for George Bush" (Yes, we are republican and although I am not fond of Bush, I think he is better of the 2 BIG EVILS). Oh yeah my 8 yr old, no idea what he is talking about - but he is already a republican. He is against gay marriage and totally for USA. He's 8! I think it is good that he is interested although he really doesn't understand it all. Most of it comes from his dad. I was going somewhere with all this ya know! So the best line that came out of his mouth was... "He's an idiot, at least I have a good personality!" Yeah, you had to be there......

Baby shopping!!

Yeah Yeah! We finally went! It was fun, although man we can argue about some stupid reasons for a long time. That is why I love him. We argued about registering for a car seat that goes from 5 - 100 lbs. He thinks it's dumb. I think it's practical. We must have sat there for 20 min. debating on it when all I wanted him to do was pick 1 of the 3. Then we went to the strollers. That took forever and we decided on the one that we picked out last time. I am not fond of the snap on front tray but I LOVE all the storage. The color is pretty blah too, I need it to be more girly but doens't look like that is going to happen. Oh and the little baby bunting covers? He thinks they are stupid. I love them because then we wouldn't have to dress her up in a snowsuit every time we left the house. He wouldn't leave the house with out he in one no matter what. I hate living in MN. I will work on him with this one! Anyway we did end up buying our baby monitor, crib mattress, changing pad & cover, and the mobile. Oh and he let me buy the baby papsan. Yeah I know we don't need it and it is totally not practical, but it is too damn cute and looks so comfy. Plus bonus for the hubs, he got to assemble it. We also bought some sheets and stuff since my sister is not going to be buying a new toddler bed from IKEA for her little one. She was going to (which would have required her to buy a new mattress and pass on all the sheets and stuff down to me) but my mom went and bought her a toddler bed at a garage sale. So we had to buy a mattress (she is the only one out of the kids that will actually sleep on a nice & new mattress!). The boys both slept on one that I picked up at a garage sale for B. It was pretty crappy and we threw it out after A was done with it. Oh well, she is our spunky princess so she needs nice things! I need to go back and pick up our stroller since I forgot to bring my coupons with. I since we went to Babies R Us and not Toys R Us they don't hand out extra coupons. Bastards. Oh well, what's another trip there right? Yeah that's what I thought. Also - I told my sister tonight that I wanted her to give me a shower. All weekend both my mom and dad had mentioned me having one and I figured, hell we could really use it and since they offered why not take them up on it. So I did. Looks like the 18th of Sept it will be! Ok, it's way past my kids bedtime and they BOTH are now looking at ebay. I have created addicts. Time to get them in bed!!

Joke for the freaky COLD friday we are having.

It is frickin cold outside, ok well it's cold in the front yard and quite nice in the back (full sun and wind blocked all day really warms things up!). Anyway since it is only 60 outside here is a good joke to start your weekend! I never quite figured out why the sexual urge of men and women differ so much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing. I have never figured out why men think with their head and women with their heart. FOR EXAMPLE: One evening last week, my wife and I were getting into bed. Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says "I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me." I said "WHAT????!!! What was that?!" So she says the words that every husband on the planet dreads to hear..."You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man." She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?" Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep. The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, big unnamed department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take so I told her we'll just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said lets get a pair for each outfit. We went onto the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings. Let me tell you...she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis. I think I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey." She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all dear, let's go to the cashier." I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel like it." Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled "WHAT???!!!" I then said, "Really honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman." And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?" Apparently I'm not having sex tonight either. (Just a note that my husband asked to go fishing on Saturday if we went baby shopping on Sunday and then sent this joke to me. Does he think I am blonde or what? He should know better then that. It's my credit card and I pay the bills!! That would be with his paycheck of course.....)

Something is just wrong...

My 8 year old has found ebay. And he can get around it pretty good too. He already has found a few things that he wants to buy. Although he hasn't grasped the concept that when there is still 2 days left of the auction that the price will go up from $2 to about $20. He is just dying to buy Shrek 2! It is kinda scary that he understands the web as well as he does. Of course with 2 computer geeks as parents and being able to navigate around with his games since he was 2 we should have expected it. Maybe I shouldn't tell him how much I have made selling crap on Ebay so he will forget about it. But I guess if he can save $20 and buy a game he really wants - hey have at it I guess.

Finally some boys!!

Jen over at The Hackworth's has given birth to Little Man @ 8:28 PM He weighed in at 9.4 lbs and is 20.5″ long!! That is huge considering they even induced her early!! Then Jaynee, Dennis, and Big Sister Olivia welcomed little Duncan Cole into the world today! He weighed in at 8 lbs., 5 oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long. He was 9 days early! Both very big boys for being a week or 2 early!!! Go on over and wish them all a congrats! These are about the only 2 boys in Blogland being born this year I think! Everyone else is having / had girls!! Woohoo girls! Congrats again!!!!

Bugger

Do things ever bug you and you want to say something but can't or it's not your place? Yeah I am having one of those moments today. Actually it's every day but today it REALLY irritates me. See my F-I-L lives with us and has this cat. This cat is old and a pain in the ass. She really doesn't do anything but for some reason bugs the hell out of me. She doesn't roam our house at all. She is either in his bedroom or in the basement family room. Those are the only 2 places that she goes, ever. Well in the basement we have our office. It's nice, has a desk that wraps 3 walls and is filled with junk. Ok, well you can access both keyboards, but everything else is pretty much covered. But she sleeps in the corner on top of the desk all damn day. She bugs me. He never keeps her off of the desk, she used to sit on top of the scanner - which is how things get broke. She's not heavy maybe weighs about 6 lbs at most. Tiny little thing. But I can't see anything or kick her ass off when he is down here. I shouldn't have to. We already asked him before when she would lay on the scanner to keep her off cuz she can break it. So all she did was move. But in order for her to get to the corner she walks all over the desk and sheds like a mother f'er. Again, I know cats do this but no one else cleans shit up around here except me. And no way should I have to clean up my desk with someone elses cat hair all over it. Other thing is I think that she has fleas. I see them crawl on her. Our 2 dogs and our cat all have flea crap on but she doesn't. She doesn't go outside so it's a possiblility that one of our animals brought it in but she is the only one that can have them since we have frontline on the rest of the animals. But she also could of gotten them from sitting by her window which is on ground level. Ugh - makes me itch. Like I said I *think* she has them - I am no expert. Anyway the whole point of this is it bugs me and I told the hubs about *thinking* that he may bring it up to his dad. He won't, I am kind of thinking anyways. It's an akward position to be in for him, as there are a few other things that he has been in the middle of with me and his dad *we get along fine, but if things every bug me or whatever I leave it to the hubs to take care of since it's his dad*. I don't mind him living here at all since it is great for the kids and he is pretty handy, but we both need to start speaking up about stuff since it is our house. For some reason the FIL just bugs me today. I am in one of those moods...... Like when he comes in from smoking - he reeks. Totally makes me want to barf. I actually have to leave the room. I used to smoke before I got preggo but now - ugh barf! Oh there are lots of other things but I think I will go and pick on the kids. Maybe I will get in a better mood. ***And hon - like I said I am in one of those moods today, nothing against your dad....***

Again?

Yay, another night of Football. Can you feel teh excitement? Not that I mind actually watching B play and learn. But damn! 2 hours is a VERY long time to sit there. Not to mention 4 nights a week! Oh well, Soccer starts next week too. At least that is only 1 hour and they don't stand in line so much. Plus with the hubs coaching I have other things to do! BTW - I just made like $50 on ebay! WOOHOO! I need to restock my paypal account since the hubs spent it all on buying super special lens' for our digital camera. Argh, that's my baby money. Which speaking of a baby, I really need to get started on her room. I am starting to work on her dresser just needs a little painting. I am really dreading doing her room only because it's so damn cute right now. We decorated it for A when he was in there alone and it's so boyish and colorful. Now it's going to be soft and girly. GIRLY! Something I swore would never happen in my house ever, with anything. Except with my daughter.....she will defintely be a GIRLY GIRL (and an awesome athlete to boot!!)

S*E*X Shows?

What is this Ber*man & Ber*man show? They are sitting there talking about sex position to 3 couples and then send them away to "try" them. Then they get together and talk about them and how they worked out when everyone is done. Funny when they talk about PENILE FRACTURE. Anything position that might incur that injury is probably not one that I would try out. Time for bed.....

Another Bun in the oven fully cooked

Go on over to Stacey's Blog and congratulate her on her recent arrival of little Caelyn!

Love or Hate

I love ebay. People are weird and buy some funky stuff. I hate this football practice thing. Thank goodness it's finally the last day for the week. Only 16 more nights to go (4 weeks!!!). Is it Christmas time yet?

No name.

I now have a no name baby. Hubs decided that he doesn't like Rylen all that much since it's not very girly. Not really girl, but he doesn't see it for a little girls name (nor does he see it as a boys name either). So she is now nameless, AGAIN! I haven't told the boys that we decided to explore names a little more again, cuz that would be like releasing a nuke. B has become quite fond of that name and A even calls her little Ry-Ry. So, we better come up with a name quick. And it's football night. The first of many. Ugh....off we go into the rain at that.

Baby Shower??

My sister has been asking me about this lately. She says I should have one because well this one is a girl. Now, I really do kinda want one because it just makes it seem like everyone actually cares more about her. I have talked to the hubs about having a BBQ after she is born and just getting everyone together as a celebration of her, but he nixed that. It will probably be too cold here in the tundra and plus with a new baby, who wants to plan that? He did have 1 good point. But, the mom in law had a fit when we had #2 and we had a very small shower for him. Considering the only real baby shower I had was with the in law side of the family (mine weren't invited) when I was 17 and had the first, well my sister wanted to give me one with the second. It was just a few people, nothing fancy, at my mom's. I didn't even invite the in law. Oh well. So I am having a dilemma now. Do I let her give me one or not? While we could REALLY use some help buying stuff for her (we got rid of everything after #2 since we weren't planning anymore in the future then) also since I am not working and doesn't look like I will be working until next year! My unemployment runs out right about the time that she is born which totally sucks. But I feel kinda bad after the guilt trip I got from the in law after we had one with #2, even though they weren't invited. I guess it's NOT A GOOD THING to have a shower. Geez, when was it bad to celebrate the birth of a baby? I don't care what number it is (unless you just had one, then having another right away may seem a little bad). But my youngest is gonna be 5 and this one is a girl. What is a girl to do? If I do let her give me one, do I invite the in laws and stuff or not? I haven't even brought up the subject at all with this one. The stepdad in law did ask if I was having one, but again the mom chimed in with "Well, you don't have one unless it's been a long time or whatever" in a snotting kinda way. I dont know what to do!! Any suggestions???

Hot mama girl

Yes, brown was boring and totally drab. So I thought that I would spice things up by changing it all to pink - HOT PINK. So deal with it! and that's all I have for ya today...

30 weeks and counting!

Well today I had a dr appt. It was scary. Nothing wrong just the whole how much do I weigh now scary. It wouldn't have been so bad but I wore my Doc Martens which add at least 5 lbs. Yeah not good there. I have gained about 35 lbs already with 10 weeks to go. Almost all in my ass and boobs. This whole having a girl thing really takes the toll on my body! Everything looks good, she is measuring right on schedule about 29-30 weeks. We went over our last ultrasound report and everything looks good. I go back at the end of the month since he is on vacation for a weeks. Then it's 2 weeks and then down to once a week! The time is almost here. I can't wait. When we were talking about future doctor appts I mentioned "Yeah once a week until we schedule an induction!" He laughed and said that I would probably deliver around 37-38 weeks. Yeah right, we will see. Both of the boys were induced at 41-42 weeks. I am hoping for a natural labor here this time kiddo! So let's cooperate. K? Other then that, I am a shoppaholic with this kid. I was out shopping again today for fun and I bought her a ton of clothes again. What's a mom to do when all those Osh Kosh clothes on on sale for 65% off huh? I can't help it!!! I belive now that she owns just about EVERY outfit that osh kosh has made for spring/summer. Those will all fit her next summer. Shes gonna be darling! But I can't buy anymore clothes for her. Not until she gets here anyways. We are gonna start on her nursery next week. Hopefully we can get the boys organized into their playroom / newbedroom on Sunday and then prime her room so I can paint it next week. My sister is going to order a toddler bed for her chicka (who is spending the night tonight and somewhat a brat/retard - sorry to say but she is a really weird toddler) so I can have my crib back. That is the only thing that I kept beside the bassinet with the boys. I can't wait to start it!!! Ok off to bed. We are heading off to IKEA tomorrow for some more shopping fun. Hopefully I won't buy too much stuff.

My 4yr olds new haircut!

He doesn't look like a troublemake does he?

Tuesday, August 03, 2004

Still?

I swear that countdown doesn't work. I still have 73 days left? Wait, add 10 right away since my kids never come out without some coaxing. At least I got a few things figured out. 1 - I don't get a free boob pump. My sis did from the hospital that she had her little bugger in last year, but not me. At least I get to use hers (she never used it, except like once). 2 - Boys have been signed up for the New baby & New Brother class in September. Yay, 1 more thing to do! 3 - The hospital I am delivering at doesn't do cord blood donation yet, but she is sending me some info on what they do or something. 4 - The last 4 weeks before school starts are gonna suck. Football starts on Monday @ 6:30. Ugh. 5 - Soccer starts in 2 weeks. 6 - I emailed my sis that I haven't talked to since about June last night. I figured it was easier then having to listen to her. Sometimes she REALLY irritates me. She is very selfish. She is 28 and has YET to buy ANYTHING for her 16 month old. She lets my mom buy everything. And they don't even pay their bills. The In-laws do. And she doesn't even give a shit. 7 - I need to clean. Yee haw.

My Hubs the freak

The following IM of my husband and his friend (co-worker who is like 50 yrs old) Friend says: Hey you putz, how was your fishing contest? Hubs says: not too bad Hubs says: it was real hot and calm. Friend says: Good for a surface bait Hubs says: not when it is so sunny, then the fish went deeper Hubs says: but other wise yes Friend says: Is that what your wife says...go deeper Hubs says: no, she says "Hey, that's my cervix, back it out.." What the heck to do with him?

Yes, it's fixed

Dryer man came this morning and fix my baby. She sounds so much better. I guess it was on the verge of a breakdown, really. Her motor was just about gone and the belt was cracking too. Hmm, piece of crap it is. But no more. All fixed and for the price of installing a new one. Literally. Toaster took a crap this weekend too. Replaced with some fancy shmancy Black and Decker one that was $30. It was the only 4 slicer they had at wal-mart. Oh well, it has a frozen setting that is supposed to not burn or something. Who knows. It's fricking hot here. Not just hot but HUMID. Really humid. Like more humid then the inside of my dryer right now. Yeah it sucks. I need to go bra shopping.

My Weekend.

Well on a bad start to the weekend with my dryer taking a big ole shit, the rest has actually turned out to be pretty good, boring, but pretty good. Friday we headed off to the Drive-in for the night. It's about an hour away but we love going to them and only hit it about once a year. They were showing I Robot, Dodgeball, and The day after tomorrow. All which were pretty good. A fell asleep by the end of the first movie and B fell asleep right as the Day after Tomorrow was about to start. That was actually good since it was 1:30 am but also because he gets kind of freaked out about tornadoes and stuff and when you watch like 5 of them all at once, he would of flipped next time we had a storm. Anyway we arrived home at 4:30 am fully awake. Saturday we went and bought the kids dressers. Just some cheapo ones from one of those discount furniture stores but better then the ones that we had been seeing at Wal-mart and Target. This way each kid has their own now. I just have to fix up the one Rylen is going to use since that one is 30 years old. I want to paint it white and 2 of the drawers need to be fixed. The boys ended up going to their friends house last night leaving me and the hubs alone. No, we didn't do that stuff, we played playstation2 all night and fell asleep by 11. Fun huh? Actually it was since we bought Athens 2004 when we were at wal-mart (yeah I know really stupid buy when we have no money but it was my mental breakdown gift and we all love those olympic sports games!). So we got to play in peace and quiet. It wa nice. Today well, I went grocery shopping for the first time in ages. We really needed it! $300 later and a stocked kitchen, we are heading on out to the County fair tonight. Today is the last day and they have the demolition derby finals tonight. We went on Tuesday for the dirt bike races. What a way to spend the evening for only $15 bucks! Now if I only had time to clean.....
